Fabric is very stiff. It may get softer after washing. I will find out. My big issue with these PJ's is that the button holes on the top are so big that they don't hold the buttons closed. I woke up in the middle of the night with the top wide open. So i buttoned them all up again and woke up 2 hours later with them all popped open again. Now I have to sew them all smaller to correct the problem. They can't be returned because I've worn them and removed the tags. I've had better PJ's for half the price that I didn't have to fix what was wrong with them and fabric was soft and cozy from day one. I do not recommend these.
